Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. define key terms and apply main concepts in phonology, phonetics, syntax and semantics to both English and foreign languages. 2. evaluate the role of theoretical linguistics in everyday contexts. 3. demonstrate and synthesize advanced knowledge and skills. 4. demonstrate mastery of primary data and/or secondary literature through a research project.
