ENGR 301 - Engineering Communication and Societal Integration (3 units) CO9, CO13 Research/apply science & technology in societal context; integrate/synthesize knowledge; communicate orally, written, and visually; must be taken in residence; substitutions/waivers not permitted.
Prerequisite(s): General Education courses (CO1-CO3) completed; at least 3 courses from CO4-CO8 completed; PHYS 181 with a “C” or better; Junior or Senior standing.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. communicate effectively with a range of audiences. 2. recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts. 3. function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives. 4. develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions. 5. acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
