GEOG 673 - Nevada: Patterns On the Land (3 units) Physical, historical and economic aspects of the western Great Basin and nearby areas such as the Sierra Nevada and the southern Columbia Plateau. Field trip.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. explain the major biophysical and/or social patterns in Nevada and the key drivers that give rise to those patterns. 2. analyze these regional patterns using geographical concepts. 3. apply critical thinking, writing, and creative skills to analyze cultural and social relationships and processes in a regional context.
