HDFS 476 - Issues in Family Health (3 units) Analysis of issues related to families and health.
Prerequisite(s): HDFS 201 or HDFS 202 or PSY 101 or SOC 101 ; Junior or Senior standing.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. formulate a position as to what constitutes a healthy family. 2. identify family-related opportunities from, and obstacles to, healthy child/adolescent development. 3. articulate the biopsychosocial perspective in explaining a given issue related to family mental or physical health.
