MUS 426 - Vocal Literature (2 units) Solo and chamber vocal music from the Renaissance to the present.
Prerequisite(s): MUS 341 ; MUS 342 .
Units of Lecture: 2 Offered: Every Fall - Odd Years
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate understanding of the historical context and trajectory of the oratorio. 2. identify the major musical contributors to the oratorio. 3. develop a working knowledge of the major works of the genre. 4. develop the ability to perform repertoire from the various periods and styled of the oratorio.
