MUS 731 - Advanced Music History I (3 units) Intensive study of western music from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. analyze the variety of social, cultural, migrational, ethnic, and gendered contexts that inform music to 1750. 2. speak and write about music with nuance. 3. apply their knowledge of music history to their area of specialization.
