PSY 473 - Radical Behaviorism (3 units) Survey of Skinner’s work. Emphasis on the role of private events in a natural science, the analysis of verbal behavior and the conduct of psychological research.
Prerequisite(s): PSY 205 . Recommended Preparation: PSY 240 .

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. distinguish the science of behavior from the philosophy of behaviorism. 2. differentiate radical behaviorism from methodological behaviorism and mentalism. 3. use the terms and concepts of behavior analysis in a technically accurate manner. 4. provide behavior analytic interpretations of various types of behavior.
