PSY 616 - Cognitive Psychology (3 units) Current developments in cognitive psychology with major emphasis on research in human learning, memory, information processing, problem solving, concept formation and thinking.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. describe in writing the limitations and strengths of experimental approaches used in cognitive neuroscience. 2. interpret data (e.g., graphs) and produce predicted outcome figures describing experimental results in writing. 3. describe in writing the rationale, experimental approach, results and limitations of individual empirical papers. 4. formulate experimental questions in writing and describe an experimental approach to test their question.
