Selected issues and problems in the theory and practice of translation, e.g., theories of translation, literary translation, legal translation, techno-scientific translation.

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. identify main issues and concerns in translating literary texts.
2. categorize and analyze literary and cultural concepts pertinent to literary translation.
3. demonstrate their comprehension of the main principles of literary translation by translating texts from English into Spanish and from Spanish into English.
4. demonstrate their competence in literary translation by completing a translation project on a text of their choosing.
