CS 704 - Digital Forensics (3 units) Students will learn, through a hands-on approach, how to identify, extract, analyze and report on data contained in various digital devices, and will utilize forensic tools and methodologies to solve real world project scenarios.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply engineering and computer science research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline. 2. design and conduct experiments as well as to analyze, interpret, apply, and disseminate the data. 3. show an understanding of research methodology. 4. utilize forensic tools and methodologies to solve cybersecurity challenges.
