Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. formulate a position as to what constitutes a healthy family. 2. identify family-related opportunities from, and obstacles to, healthy child/adolescent development. 3. articulate the biopsychosocial perspective in explaining a given issue related to family mental or physical health. 4. apply the theoretical and/or empirical contributors to healthy family development through the evaluation of model families (e.g. real-world families, media exemplars, case studies).
