GEOG 457 - Transportation Planning and Policy (3 units) Contemporary issues in intraurban transportation; transportation planning process and methods; thorough investigation of the reciprocal relationship between land use patterns and transportation systems.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. critically discuss the best approaches to use when planning for transportation as formulated from existing or new policy. 2. evaluate the relative effectiveness of various transportation alternatives as applied to unique urban or rural environments. 3. communicate the subject matter in written, verbal, or graphical format.
