GEOG 710 - History and Nature of Planning (3 units) Exploration of the history of the ideology and practice of planning. Emphasis on understanding planning from the 1880’s until the early 2000’s.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. relate how planning as a discipline has evolved over time. 2. critically discuss how a specific planners and/or planning topics are important within the context of the discipline. 3. apply critical thinking, writing, and creative skills to analyze the specific area of the seminar section taken.
