THTR 335 - Speech for the Actor: Acting III (3 units) Practice in using the actor’s voice.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. read, write and speak phonemes using the International Phonetic Alphabet. 2. practice the conventions of stage dialects. 3. apply the vowel and consonant substitutions for two stage dialects. 4. perform monologues/scenes in two stage dialects. 5. demonstrate enhanced ability to speak with clarity, loudness, and with proper enunciation. 6. demonstrate their ability to employ vocal dynamics including pitch, rate, and volume.
