SPSY 703 - A Social Psychological Perspective on Juvenile Law (3 units) Social psychological theory applied to current policy, practice, and research problems in youth-serving legal systems.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify important theories, findings and controversies pertaining to the topic of the course, and describe major insight from different research areas within the broader field that is the topic of this course. 2. identify major empirical research methods in social psychological research on the topic of the course, and evaluate their usefulness in answering pertinent research questions. 3. demonstrate analytical skills in examining and critiquing theory and research pertaining to social psychological research on the topic of this course.
