SPSY 738 - Structural Equation Modeling (3 units) This course is designed to introduce graduate students in Psychology to the concepts, methods, problems, and applications of structural equation modeling (SEM).
Prerequisite(s): PSY 706 ; PSY 707 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate a strong understanding of concepts, methods, problems, and applications of structural equation modeling (SEM). 2. identify research questions that are suitable to SEM and choose appropriate statistical models and methods to analyze data. 3. use statistical software (primarily R) to execute statistical procedures related to SEM.
