EDSP 443 - Special Education Curriculum: General Methods (3 units)
Special instructional methods for students with cognitive and behavioral disorders. Includes instruction in I.E.P. goals and objectives.
Prerequisite(s): EDSP 452 ; EDU 208 ; admission to a teacher education program. Corequisite(s): EDES 313 .

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. discuss the trends in the field of special education that affect or are likely to affect the delivery of services to students with mild to moderate disabilities.
2. develop and implement specific lesson plans and research-based teaching strategies for students with mild to moderate disabilities.
3. demonstrate how to modify instruction to meet the needs of individual learners, based on student performance.
4. effectively employ assistive technology and universal design for learning concepts in teaching and learning activities for students.
