Formal and informal methods for assessing students with disabilities: academic, language, motor, perception, social skills. Interpretation of assessment and application to program needs.

Prerequisite(s): EDSP 411 ; EDU 203 EDU 208 ; admission to a teacher education program.

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. describe major types of reliability & validity and how they can be assessed.
2. select appropriate informal assessments, and when needed, be able to design and implement their own.
3. interpret reliability and validity data for standardized assessments.
