EDSP 711 - Characteristics of Students with Mild/Moderate Disabilities (3 units) Analysis of research on learning and behavioral characteristics of students with mild to moderate learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders including school implications.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify typical characteristics of students with learning disabilities (LD), emotional/behavioral disorders (E/BD), and intellectual disabilities(ID). 2. compare and contrast the individual differences in characteristics among LD, E/BD, and ID. Students will be able to use scholarly literature to investigate and write about the characteristics of these disabilities.
