SBRM 475 - Ski Resort and Real Estate Master Planning (3 units) Students will develop a master plan for a proposed ski area to include all aspects of ski area operations in this capstone course.
Maximum units a student may earn: 3
Prerequisite(s): formerly Sierra Nevada University Ski Business and Resort Management student; SBRM 315; SBRM 325; SBRM 330; Senior standing.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. design your own ski resort including site location, lifts, trails, buildings, snowmaking systems, equipment, roads, and parking lots. 2. create operations to maximize investment and total skiers at one time capacity. 3. understand the relationship between ski resorts and resort real estate development.
