ART 491 - Studio Internship (3 units) CO14 Advanced practicum whereby student(s) engage in professional work experience in the following areas: (a) museum operations; (b) arts administration; (c) arts research; and/or (d) studio operations.
Maximum units a student may earn: 6
Prerequisite(s): at least one 300-level course within the internship program of study; Department of Art faculty supervisor, Chair, and site supervisor approval required.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Internship/Practicum: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply academic knowledge, skills, techniques and abilities to solve practical, real-world problems in a professional setting. (CO14) 2. demonstrate professionally relevant competencies and relationships in a professional setting. (CO14) 3. identify, assess, and develop personal and professional strength.
