ENGR 111 - Global Aspects of Engineering (1 unit) CO11 Students will research, discuss, and write about local and global aspects of current issues within the engineering profession.

Prerequisite(s): Junior or Senior standing; Engineering major.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 1 Offered: Every Fall
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. effectively apply knowledge and skills to the analysis of current global events and issues and uses interdisciplinary perspectives (e.g. historical, cultural, scientific). 2. recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts. 3. acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
