ANTH 600B - Indians of the Great Basin (3 units) Intensive study of indigenous cultures of the intermountain region of western North America; tribal distribution, problems in culture areas, social organization and change.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring - Even Years
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. articulate the diversity of indigenous peoples of the Great Basin. 2. articulate the origins and histories of peoples of the Great Basin. 3. assess the current situation of Great Basin indigenous peoples and antecipate future trends among these peoples.
