ANTH 708 - Advanced Seminar in Quaternary Studies (3 units) Intensive examination of methods, theories and interpretations of selected topics, including peopling of the New World, environmental change or taphonomy of middle-range research. (ANTH 708 and GEOL 708 are cross-listed; credit may be earned in one of the two.)
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. read and critically evaluate relevant literature in the specific topic area of the seminar section taken. 2. discuss the relationship of a specialized area of anthropology in the broader context of the field and to their own research interests. 3. summarize current research and critically review the literature pertaining to a research project.
