Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate rapport and sustain working relationships with older persons, their families, and caregivers. 2. recognize and identify assumptions about aging, stereotyping, prejudice, stigma, and discrimination related to age. 3. articulate key elements of the interdisciplinary field of gerontology and the contributions made to it by researchers, scholars, and practitioners from multiple disciplines. 4. select a field in which they may choose to work and access its viability. 5. describe essential organizations and agencies in our community that serve older persons.
