AGSC 400 - Seminar (1 unit) Students will give presentations on research work and topics of interest in animal and veterinary science using computer assisted presentation.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 1 Offered: Every Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. read and review science-related topics of interest using a jigsaw collaborative and convey this understanding through group and class discussions. 2. conduct supplemental research/reading to assist evaluation of the quality of primary readings using credible sources during presentation preparation. 3. effectively lead and participate in small group discussions and meetings by actively following the journal readings and asking/answering leading questions. 4. conduct peer-review/evaluate the performance of presenting groups. 5. collaborate in a group using the jigsaw collaborative within-group peer-review/evaluation.
