CEP 765 - Theory and Practice of Marriage Counseling (3 units) Study of therapy systems to aid intimate partnerships, their formation, maintenance and termination.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the M.A. in Counseling program.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall - Even Years
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply family systems concepts and interventions in counseling practice. 2. select, administer, and interpret counseling assessments appropriate for client needs and diagnostic considerations. 3. apply effective counseling skills and counseling theories in simulated and supervised counseling sessions.
