Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. evaluate the nature of past theories of the cause of ASD, the impact of these theories on parents of children with ASD, and how these theories still impact services today. 2. develop a review of professional literature or portfolio of supporting materials related to the education of students with ASD. 3. explain how ASD impacts development of speech/language, social skills, and academic skills. 4. develop a review of professional literature or portfolio of supporting materials related to the education of students with ASD.
