EE 767 - Power System Optimization and Planning (3 units) This course covers fundamental concepts, models, and solution methodologies for the optimization, operation, and expansion planning of power and energy infrastructure systems under uncertainties. Topics include mathematical programming, stochastic optimization, robust optimization, chance-constrained programming, and decision-making frameworks for resilient and efficient infrastructure planning.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply engineering research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline. 2. design and conduct experiments as well as to analyze, interpret, apply, and disseminate the data. 3. demonstrate an understanding of long term power system planning studies.
