Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. carry out an advanced, independent research project on a chosen topic.
2. discuss research results in the context of the scientific literature.
3. communicate and defend the results of the dissertation research in writing and in oral presentation.
4. articulate and follow ethical principles in science, including standards in laboratory practice, communication of literature research without plagiarism, crediting of collaborators, and standards for co-authorship.
