NURS 751 - Assessment & Management for the FNP: Clinical Practicum

(1 to 13 units)
Synthesis and clinical practicum experience in which the student works with a preceptor to apply the evaluation and management strategies for the care of patients across the lifespan with episodic illness and injury, chronic disease management, frailty and patients requiring palliative or end-of-life care.

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. obtain a thorough and efficient history guided by diagnostic reasoning.
2. perform advanced physical exams guided by diagnostic reasoning.
3. use clinical judgement to formulate relevant differential diagnoses and arrive at most likely diagnosis.
