THTR 301 - Drafting for the Stage (3 units) Introduction to drafting techniques and conventions for theatrical design and live event production.

Prerequisite(s): THTR 197 . Recommended Preparation: THTR 235 ; THTR 201 ; THTR 202 ; THTR 203 ; THTR 204 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Laboratory/Studio: 3 Offered: Every Fall
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify and interpret drafting documents for theatre including groundplans, light plots, elevations, details, and working drawings. 2. create design and working drawings of a sufficient caliber that design and technical information is clearly conveyed. 3. use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
