HON 210 - Honors Leadership Development (1 unit) The introductory course incorporates the Honors College mission pillars, resilience, ingenuity, stewardship, and equity, into the study of leadership. Students will identify different types of leadership styles and learn fundamental leadership concepts including ethics in leadership, conflict resolution, effective communication, dynamics of teams, and power and accountability.

Prerequisite(s): Honors Program.
Grading Basis: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory Units of Lecture: 1 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. define the four honors mission pillars and elaborate strategies to apply them to understandings of leadership. 2. identify different types of leadership. 3. identify fundamental concepts in leadership, including ethics in leadership, conflict resolution, effective communication, dynamics of teams, and power and accountability.
