GPHS 797 - Thesis credits (1 to 6 units) Students register for 797 credits while conducting research and writing of a thesis.
Maximum units a student may earn: 20
Prerequisite: Admission to the GPHS graduate program for a master’s degree.
Grading Basis: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory Units of Independent Study: 1 Offered: Every Fall, Spring, and Summer
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify current problems in their area of research and critically assess a direction for their research. 2. demonstrate that they can carry out research relevant to their area of study. 3. communicate and defend the results of the thesis research in writing and in oral presentation.
