Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. demonstrate proficiency in effectively and efficiently searching the scientific research literature.
2. interpret and critically-analyze scholarly research and determine its relevance and/or application to nutrition practice.
3. formulate a research question using the population, intervention, control and outcomes (PICO) format that relates to a gap in knowledge within one or more components of the Nutrition Care Process.
4. explain reasons for the research/practice gap and the potential role of translational and implementation sciences to address this disparity.
5. evaluate a situation while applying the principles of research integrity and ethics.
