IMSE 743 - Performance Analysis of Health Care Systems (3 units) Course covering the performance analysis of healthcare systems with focus on analyzing the healthcare delivery process and improving its efficiency, effectiveness, and quality. The course will use IE techniques such as simulation modeling, queuing theory, optimization, and statistical analysis, to identify and solve problems in healthcare systems.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply engineering research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline. 2. design and conduct experiments as well as to analyze, interpret, apply, and disseminate the data. 3. an understanding of research methodology. 4. analyze the healthcare delivery process using industrial engineering techniques.
