EDRS 729 - Single Case Experimental Designs and Analyses (3 units) An examination of single-case experimental designs, data collection methods, graphing of data and related visual analysis, and application of quality indicators of single-case experimental research.
Maximum units a student may earn: 3
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Summer - Even Years
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify the defining features of single-case experimental designs. 2. use single-case experimental designs (e.g., reversal, multiple baseline, multielement, changing criterion). 3. distinguish between and address factors related to internal and external validity of single-case experimental designs. 4. graph data to communicate relevant quantitative relations and interpret graphed data. 5. distinguish among and implement direct, indirect, and product measures of behavior. 6. select a measurement system to obtain representative data given the dimensions of behavior and the logistics of observing and recording.
