Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify the main idea and key points in a text on an everyday topic with straightforward organization and clearly-signaled supporting ideas. 2. identify the main idea and key details of a short talk or discussion using key words and signal phrases. 3. describe everyday topics and familiar technical topics. 4. participate in interviews and group discussions using prepared notes. 5. write an organized and supported expository or argumentative paragraph on an everyday or familiar topic. 6. integrate information from multiple sources.
