COM 775 - Advanced Qualitative Analysis (3 units) This course explores advanced coding and analytical methods for interpretive and critical qualitative research. Students practice various coding and analytical approaches, engage with theoretical aspects of coding and analysis, and learn techniques for validity and reliability.

Recommended preparation: experience with qualitative research practices.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply advanced coding techniques to analyze qualitative data in interpretive and critical research contexts. 2. incorporate or develop theoretical approaches to coding and analysis. 3. evaluate the validity and reliability of qualitative research. 4. develop a qualitative research project with advanced approaches to coding and analysis.
