NDD 745 - Cyberspace and Nuclear Operations (3 units) This course provides students with an introduction to the role cyber plays in shaping nuclear deterrence operations. Students will develop a foundational understanding of the risks and rewards of modern digital systems as part of the United States’ nuclear force, analyzing the trade-offs between security and efficiency.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. explain the implications of modern cyber systems for the United States’ nuclear enterprise. 2. provide analytic support to risk assessments of cyber vulnerabilities to nuclear systems. 3. possess a strategic understanding of cyber vulnerabilities and the trade-offs between security and efficiency.
