EE 627 - Applications of AI in Electrical Engineering (3 units) The course introduces students to core Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) concepts, including neural networks, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and fuzzy logic, etc, as applied to electrical engineering in power, control, signal processing, and so on.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. 2. develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze, and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions. 3. acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies. 4. apply engineering research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline. 5. apply research methodology. 6. design and conduct experiments that integrate artificial intelligence techniques within electrical engineering, as well as to analyze, interpret, apply, and disseminate the data using appropriate AI-driven methodologies.
