Mission, Vision, Values, and Educational Outcomes
The mission of the School of Public Health is to develop, disseminate, and apply knowledge to protect and promote the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities. Our vision is equitable, healthy, and resilient communities and we strive to realize the vision while upholding our core values of collaboration, health equity, integrity, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our programs produce public health practitioners at all levels, including but not limited to government and organizational health leaders, epidemiological scientists, health administrators and analysts, health program planners and educators, exercise physiologists, and academic researchers.

CEPH Accreditation and ASPPH Membership
In 2021, the School of Public Health at the University of Nevada, Reno was fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health, an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The accreditation means that the School completed a multi-level review and was found to meet the nationally agreed-upon standards developed by public health academics and practitioners. It is also an active member of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health. These significant efforts aim to provide our students with a rigorous education that is nationally recognized for its quality.
