Public Administration and Policy, M.P.A

A master of public administration degree with a public administration and policy major is offered through the political science department. The program is designed to prepare students for careers in public service and to increase the administrative and policy analysis skills of people presently employed in government service. The program involves three emphases: public administration, public policy and a specialized selection of courses approved by the department. The MPA program requires the student to fulfill the following requirements:

  • 36 credit program of study
  • which includes15 credits of 700-level coursework

General Core (18 credits)

Specialization Track (9 credits)

General Electives (6 credits)

PSC 795  –Comprehensive Examination (3 credits)

TOTAL CREDITS: 36
