The department offers a graduate program leading to the degree of master of arts. The field of study includes course work in political theory, American politics, public administration, public policy, international relations and comparative politics.
The Master of Arts degree is 30 credits (24 units for Plan A). Of the 24 credits of course work, 3 credits are required for comprehensive examination. The 3 credits of comprehensive examination may be used to fulfill the required 18 credits of 700- level course work.
