The general requirements of the Graduate School must be satisfied by all candidates for the Ph.D. degree with a major in chemistry.

The minimum credit requirements are:


Total Credits (72 units)


Note(s):


* 600 or 700-level formal classroom or laboratory courses, as specified by the Chemistry Department’s Graduate Study Guidelines and approved by the student’s advisory committee.

**Electives for the Ph.D. may include up to 14 credits of dissertation (CHEM 799 ) in addition to the 24 required credits. One credit of comprehensive examination is required and can be used to satisfy the 30 credits of required 700-level course work.
