Communication Studies, Minor

Students majoring in another field may minor in Communication Studies by completing the following:

• COM 101 - Oral Communication (3 units) OR
• COM 217 - Argumentation and Debate (3 units)

• COM 113 - Fundamentals of Speech Communication (3 units)
• COM 212 - Introduction to Communication Research (3 units)
• Upper-division (300/400-level) speech communication electives (9 units)

• NOTE: In addition to the general university requirements of at least a “C” (2.0) average for graduation, Communication Studies minors must earn at least a “C” in minor requirement courses.
