Forest Management and Ecology, Minor

II. Description

The Minor in Forest Management & Ecology provides students with a background in ecology, restoration, conservation, and management of forest ecosystems.

III. Program Requirements (20 units)

Students must complete the following courses:

NRES 345 - Range and Forest Plants (3 units)
NRES 405 - Silviculture and Regional Silviculture (5 units) CO14
NRES 493 - Range and Forest Ecology (3 units)

And at least 7 units from the following:

NRES 310 - Wildlife Ecology and Management (3 units)
NRES 401 - Forest Operations (4 units)
NRES 402 - Forest Management (5 units)
NRES 406 - Ecophysiology of Forest & Range Plants (4 units)
NRES 407 - Forest and Range Measurements (5 units)
NRES 461 - Forest Resources Management (3 units)
NRES 497 - Forest and Range Soils (3 units)
