Palliative Care Emphasis, Advanced Graduate Certificate

This certificate program is intended for nurse practitioners and other advanced practice nurses who work with those individuals who are eligible for palliative care, sometimes defined as care provided to terminal patients in the last two years of their lives. In most instances, these individuals are senior citizens, typically seen in internal medicine or family practice settings, with multiple co-morbid conditions making their management more complex. The state of Nevada does not have a program in place to educate advanced practice nurses to provide holistic care for these individuals, and this program will provide that needed service.

Note: Students who are enrolled in this program solely are not eligible for Federal Financial Aid.
