Students in the College of Liberal Arts who are majoring in a foreign language may be licensed to teach in middle and high schools by taking a prescribed number of courses in the College of Education. This includes 33 units of professional education courses and 9 units of internship (supervised student teaching).
The teaching major consists of 33 units in one language, all of which must be upper-division.
