Management, B.S. in Bus. Ad.


Traditionally, management includes the following activities: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. More specifically, management is responsible for the primary activities of the firm, and also responsible for the support activities of infrastructure, human resource management, technology development, and procurement. Management majors are prepared for careers in either general management, the specialization of human resource management, or entrepreneurship based on concentration choice.

Admission Requirements


All students who are interested in graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration degree in Management start by being declared as “pre-majors.” Pre-majors must complete Core Objectives 1-3, the Pre-Business Core, and a total of 60 units before meeting with an advisor to declare the Management major. Students must declare their major before they may take any courses in the Upper-Division Business Core.

  • Residency Requirement | 30 Upper-Division Units at UNR
  • Major Residency Requirement | 15 Upper-Division Units in the major at UNR

  • Half Program Units/4 Year Institution | 60 Units
  • Business Course Time Limit | Coursework used to complete College of Business and Major requirements must have been completed within the 10 years prior to the year of graduation.
